Bank of England: AI & Market Stability
The BoE Financial Policy Committee released a report warning that autonomous AI models could exploit market volatility — potentially triggering or amplifying financial stress.
Regulators concerns focus on widespread use of similar models may fuel herd behaviour, creating systemic shocks. These risks were also flagged in Jonathan Hall’s 2024 Monsters in the Deep speech.

Model Context Protocol (MCP): Tool Poisoning Risks
A viral LinkedIn post this week exposed a critical vulnerability in MCP, referred to as “Tool Poisoning Attacks.”
What happens:
Malicious instructions hidden in tool descriptions (invisible to users, visible to LLMs) can coerce the model into unauthorized behavior.
